Tuong Tailor Guideline

Some of the measurements might request you to stay straight or stand still. Therefore, for the best measurements, please ask a friend or family member to measure your body. If it’s a kid measurement, parent might help their children for the best result. Tuong Tailor provides different guideline for male and female design depending on your choice. Please find our guideline below.

Men Style Measurements

Men Above Chest

Wrap the tape measure around your chest just under your arms, above the fullest part of your chest. Measure from the side (seam) across your chest to the other side (seam).

Men Armholes

Run the tape measure under the armpit. Let your arm hang naturally in a slight bend. Bring both tape ends up to meet at the top of the shoulder to measure armhole circumference.

Men Armholes Spacing / Back Width

Run the tape across the back at the widest section of the back, measure from armhole to armhole. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Belly/Abdominal Circumference

Wrap the tape around your waist, start and end at the front of your abdomen, right above your belly button. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Biceps

Run the tape measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

Men Calf Circumference

Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your Calf. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Chest Circumference

Wrap the tape measure around your chest at the fullest part. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Crotch

Measure down from the center front of your waist going through your legs back up to the back until you meet the string at your waist.

Men Hand Wrists

Run the tape measure around your wrist, where your arm joins your hand.

Men Hip Circumference

Run the tape measure around your bum at the fullest part. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Neck

Wrap the tape measure around your neck where your shirt collar would sit.

Men Shirt Length

Run tape at from your High Point Shoulder (HPS) and measure straight down to the point where you would want the shirt to end.

Men Shoulder

Find the edge of your shoulder where on a good fitting shirt the shoulder seam would sit. Then, measure from there across your back to the same point at the other side.

Men Sleeve Length

Place your tape measure at your shoulder point. Let your arm hang naturally in a slight bend, and measure along your slightly bent arm up to your wrist.

Men Thigh Circumference

Wrap the tape around your leg, near the top of your leg. You should measure this a bit below your crotch.Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Trouser/Pant Length

Make sure you have the slack on your waist where you would normally wear. Stand straight. Run the tape from the top of pant line to the top of where the shoe meets the foot from the outside just below the ankle or to the point where you want the pant to end.

Men Trouser/Pant Waist

Wrap the tape around the your waist at the top of the hipbone level. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Men Waist

Wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Style Measurements

Women Above Bust

Wrap the tape measure around your chest just under your arms, above the fullest part of your bust. Measure from the side (seam) across your breasts to the other side (seam). You might not be able to keep it horizontal (parallel to the floor), but that's ok.

Women Above Hip Circumference

Wrap the tape measure around your body at the fullest part of your hip bone. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Ao Dai's / Full Sleeve Length

Run the tape from the backbone at the nape or your neck to the top of the shoulder (following a seam line, if one were to be there), down to the arm to just below the wrist bone.

Women Armholes

Run the tape measure under the armpit. Let your arm hang naturally in a slight bend. Bring both tape ends up to meet at the top of the shoulder to measure armhole circumference.

Women Armholes Spacing / Back Width

Run the tape across the back at the widest section of the back, measure from armhole to armhole. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Back-neck Depth

Run the tape from the top of the shoulder at the neck point and cross diagonally (make a half V) to the center of your back and choose how much depth you would like your shirt back-neck to end.

Women Belly/Abdominal Circumference

Wrap the tape around your leg, near the top of your leg. You should measure this a bit below your crotch.Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Biceps

Run the tape measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

Women Bust Circumference

Wrap the tape measure around your bust at the fullest part. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Bust Span

Run the tape measure horizontally in a straight line from the tip of your one breast to the tip of the other.

Women Calf Circumference

Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your Calf. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Crotch

Measure down from the center front of your waist going through your legs back up to the back until you meet the string at your waist.

Women Front-neck Depth

Run the tap from the top of the shoulder at the neck point and cross diagonally to the center of your chest to the point where you want your blouse neck opening to end.

Women Hand Wrists

Run the tape measure around your wrist, where your arm joins your hand.

Women Hip Circumference

Run the tape measure around your bum at the fullest part. Make sure to keep the tape measure horizontal (parallel to the floor).

Women Neck

Wrap the tape measure around your neck where your shirt collar would sit.

Women Shirt Length

Run tape at from your High Point Shoulder (HPS) and measure straight down to the point where you would want the shirt to end.

Women Shoulder

Run the tape from your High Point Shoulder (HPS) down to your waist line across the front of your body.

Women Sleeve Length

Place your tape measure at your shoulder point. Let your arm hang naturally in a slight bend, and measure along your slightly bent arm up to your wrist.
